Rajya Charukala Parshad’s biggest annual event is PaschimbangaCharukala Utsav. This is a grand state-level event. Part of this festival is Charukala Pradarshani, an annual art exhibition where various artists from all over Bengal display their artworks. Another major attraction of this festival is ‘Charukala Mela’, where art groups from all over Bengal display their artworks in stalls. This festival is an interractive platform between the artists from all over Bengal with the Art connoisseurs. In this occasion, eminent artists are felicitated and upcoming young promising artists are rewarded for their work. Along with this, other attractions are talk show, digital presentation, art workshop and cultural programmes.
Every year this course is organized during the month of July-September for 3 months. Various eminent artists, art-historians, art-critics, authors conduct the classes delivering lectures on art history, methodology,aesthetics and etc. to selected candidates through 35 - 50 classes.
Conducted in memory of eminent artists of Bengal. Eminent personalities are invited to deliver lecture in this context.
Every year Rajya Charukala Parshad organizes atleast 3-5 seminars. Various dignitaries from the field of art are invited to usher their experiences.
Rajya Charukala Parshad is being entrusted on behalf of Government of West Bengal to conserve invaluable paintings and sculptures by the legendary masters of Bengal. It is a treasure trove, indeed, with considerable number of paintings by such legends as Abanindranath Tagore,Nandalal Bose, Jamini Roy, Gopal Ghose, Haren Das and other notables and several sculptures by such maestro as Sunil pal, Debiprasad Roychoudhury, Chintamani Kar and other notables.
